Local Activists Organize Climate Emergency Day at State Capitol

With a break in the hot and stormy weather, and with all the dramatic political news, Building Unity would like to remind you that the changing climate is still among the central crises of our time.  Dozens of environmental and activist groups have declared Monday, July 22 a Climate Emergency Day, and have organized a variety of events across the nation to urge action to curb the carbonization of the atmosphere. 

A small crowd gathered in the WORT studios this morning to tell us all about plans for today’s events at the state capitol.
