Research Assistant at the Center for Media and Democracy, Colleen Scerpella’s June 3rd article titled “The Right-Wing Network Manufacturing the War Against Higher Education” follows the work of the American Association of University Professors study of right-wing and libertarian think tanks responsible for manufacturing the cultural backlash against both K–12 and higher education. Of particular note is the State Policy Network (SPN), web of 167 far-right nonprofit organizations in 48 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and the United Kingdom.
