The Original Hoarders: Play at Bartell Tells The Story of the Collyer ...

Long before reality TV series like “Hoarders” started sensationalizing reclusive collectors, the Collyer Brothers became notorious for the over 120 tons of valuables, junk, books, a Model T Ford and who knows what else in their Harlem brownstone.

The story intrigued Madison’s Finn Gallagher enough for him to write and direct a play about it, “The Untold Story of the Collyer Brothers,” which opened Friday, October 11 at Madison’s Bartell Theatre.

Finn Gallagher joined Monday Buzz host Brian Standing in the studio, along with Stroller’s Theatre publicity manager Dillon Sheehan.
