You’ve heard of Art Fair on the Square, and possibly Art Fair OFF the Square, and sometimes The Taste of Madison takes over the square. And of course, we all love the Dane County Farmers Market. But have you ever experienced Science on the Square?
If you haven’t, or even if you have, you might want to head downtown this Thursday, Oct. 17, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM for a series of demonstrations about the wonders of science. It is all part of the Wisconsin Science Festival, which sponsors science events all week in every part of the state.
Sam Mulrooney, Outreach Program Manager for the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery, and Wisconsin Science Festival Director visited WORT studios to talk to Monday Buzz guest host Nicholas Wootton to talk about the festival. Joining Sam was Haddie McClean, Outreach Program Manager for the University of Wisconsin – Madison’s Physics Department. Haddie will lead a special physics demonstration during Science on the Square.
Haddie also brought in a sample demonstration to show off in the studio.
