MMSD High School Students Get Apprentice Opportunities

Annie Johnston, Coordinator of the Experiential Learning Continuum for Students at the Madison Metropolitan School District, talks about the Youth Apprentice Program available for high school juniors and seniors to gain outside job experience and earn school credit during their high school curriculum. There are over 80 pathways for students (depending on their location) for farming, healthcare, construction, and more. Current participant and high school junior, Natania Julius, talks about what the program has done for her in her field of interest, pharmacy. Because of the weather, the planned in-person information night scheduled for today, February 12 at LaFollette High School, 6:30pm – 8:00pm has been changed to a virtual session and will be re-scheduled for a later date.
