The Libertarian Party of America was founded in 1972 as an alternative to the mainstream Democratic and Republican parties. With its advocacy for limited government, gun rights, and abolishment of many federal agencies, it would seem that much of President Donald Trump’s actions fit right in with the Libertarian Party platform. Indeed, as a candidate, Donald Trump made it a point to address a Libertarian Party convention. So, it may come as a surprise to many that the Libertarian Party of Wisconsin recently wrote an op/ed strongly opposing Donald Trump’s proposed tariffs. Phil Anderson is the Libertarian Party of Wisconsin 2nd District Representative, and he joined Monday Buzz host Brian Standing on March 17.
