The Trump Administration’s chaotic and unpredictable trade war with Canada, Mexico, China and Europe continues to have repercussions through the global economy. Coupled with haphazard cuts to grants and federal agencies, U.S. suppliers, producers and consumers are all skittish, and the tanking stock markets reflect that anxiety. Here in the dairy state, farmers and dairy producers face uncertain markets and support. To give us more perspective on the impact of Trump-onomics on the Wisconsin farm sector, we are joined by Jason Mugniani, Executive Director of Government Relations for the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation. Welcome, Jason. Also joining us is Andy Hatch, owner and founder of Uplands Cheese in Pleasant Ridge.
