WORT 89.9FM Madison · Red Hot Chili Pipers Bring “Bag Rock” to Overture

The Red Hot Chili Pipers started out in Aberdeen as a way for a bunch of like-minded bagpiping mates to get together and play rock songs for fun. Now, they’re touring the world and playing over 200 gigs a year. On March 29, the Pipers land in Madison’s Overture Center. Monday Buzz host Brian Standing caught up with piper Kevin McDonald to talk about the tour, the history of the band, and the weird nature of those peculiar instruments they play.
