Thursday 8 O’Clock Buzz host Tony Castañeda welcomes local singer/songwriter Robert J, who’s in the studio this morning to talk about this Sunday’s MAMA CARES fundraiser at the High Noon Saloon. This fundraiser raises money to assist local musicians and their families in times of crisis and medical emergencies. Started over 10 years ago by Robert J when his son was facing a serious medical condition, over $100,000 has been raised and donated to musicians and their families facing medical problems or other crises.
The event runs from 3-8pm and features raffles, live and silent auctions, and an all-star concert, with performances by Gin, Chocolate and Bottle Rockets, The Jimmies and Sam Ness.
