On August 11, presumptive 2020 Democratic nominee for President, Joe Biden ended months of speculation by naming California Senator Kamala Harris as his running mate. Harris, a former rival for the Democratic presidential nomination, will become the first African-American woman to be nominated by a major party for Vice-President.
