Domestic Abuse Awareness Month

October is domestic abuse awareness month, and the Domestic Abuse Intervention Services (DAIS) is organizing a rally at the State Capitol on Sunday, October 1 to commence events for the month.  Three members of DAIS, Ayden Romer, Lyndsey Winchel, and Kelly Kleven join the Thursday 8 O’Clock Buzz to talk about the on-going crisis of domestic abuse in the Dane County area, and the services available to the community including legal advocacy, case management and sheltering, programming for youths, support groups and a 24-hour help line.
